ULTIMATELY, WE ARE ALL THE SAME
WHETHER YOU BELIEVE WE ARE ALL DESCENDED FROM ADAM AND EVE, OR THAT WE ARE ALL PART OF THE GOD SOURCE, OR EVEN THAT WE EVOLVED FROM LOWER PRIMATES, WE ALL CAME IN THE SAME WAY. OUR ORIGINS ARE SOURCE.

YOUR UNCONSCIOUS BELIEVES EVERYTHING YOU TELL IT
NO KIDDING! YOUR UNCONSCIOUS HEARS YOUR THOUGHTS AND WORDS AND TAKES EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM LITERALLY. IF YOU SAY TO YOURSELF “I’M NEVER GOING TO BE HAPPY” , YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY. IF YOU SAY OR THINK “THIS JOB IS KILLING ME”, IT WILL. IMAGINE THAT YOU ARE GIVING YOUR BODY AND MIND INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT HOW TO RESPOND TO YOUR EXPERIENCES.
1. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE GREAT RELATIONSHIPS AND WORK YOU ENJOY, YOU NEED TO FOCUS ON WHAT YOU LIKE, NOT ON WHAT YOU DON’T.
2. IF YOU WANT TO DO FULFILLING WORK, TAKE WHATEVER STEPS YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. GO BACK TO SCHOOL, CHANGE JOBS, OR APPRECIATE THE JOB YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW. YOUR ATTITUDE WILL MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE.
3. GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK AND FORGIVE YOURSELF FOR BEING HUMAN. WE ALL NEED THE MERCY OF EACH OTHER. WE CAN ONLY BE MERCIFUL TOWARD OTHERS WHEN WE LOVE AND FORGIVE OURSELVES.
4. IF YOU FEAR OR WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING WITH GREAT INTENSITY, YOU ALLOW THOSE THOUGHTS TO AFFECT YOUR PHYSICAL BEING. YOU ARE CAUSING YOURSELF MORE HARM THAN ANYTHING YOU ARE WORRYING ABOUT. NOT ONLY THAT, YOU ATTRACT TO YOU THE OBJECT OF YOUR FEARS.
YOUR LIFE IS YOUR OWN TO CREATE AS BEAUTIFULLY AS YOU CHOOSE. IMAGINE PEACE ON EARTH, NOT EXPECTING THIS TO HAPPEN, BUT AS A WONDERFUL IDEA. JUST THINKING LIKE THIS HELPS YOU BE HAPPIER AND MORE PEACEFUL AND THIS HELPS EVERYONE AROUND YOU FEEL THE SAME WAY.
REMEMBER THAT CHOOSING TRANSPARENCY MAKES LIFE EASIER. YOU NEVER HAVE TO WASTE ANY ENERGY TRYING TO REMEMBER WHAT STORY OR EXCUSES YOU GAVE. CHOOSE TO BE GOOD, CHOOSE TO BE STRONG, CHOOSE COMPASSION FOR YOURSELF AND EVERYONE ELSE.
Kindof belated, but as I was reading this I was reminded of a sage remark what was attributed to Anais Nin (and others): “We don’t see the world the way it is, we see it the way we are.” It makes perfect sense how our perspective colors things for better or worse. That is a keystone of my work with kids and familes at smythcounseling.com. I also focus a lot on mindfulness as it helps us defocus from the negative effects of living in the past and the future while ignoring the golden present.

Very true Tim. Each of us has a different pair of eyes looking out from our own unique experiences, thoughts and beliefs. Mindfulness is an excellent method for helping oneself learn to appreciate the peace of the present moment. With life racing by these days, it helps to remember that the past is an illusion that is only held in the memory, just as the future can only be dealt with when it arrives. Learning to take life as it comes, with gratitude for each day is a lovely way to live in balance. Thanks for all the good work you do!
